Thanks for considering our band for your venue. We’ve enjoyed playing to large halls as well as club stages. We can use a pre-existing sound and lighting house system that meets our requirements, or provide one suitable for the performance space.

Here are some things to keep in mind when arranging a booking. See our Contact page to send us a booking request.

Stage

We arrange ourselves in authentic performance order, with four players across the front. The amplifiers and drumset make up the backline. See the following diagram.

Men waving guitars and an active singer can have quite a wingspan, so please ensure there’s room for all!

Sound System

We are a rock band, and normally that means delivering the music at a solid volume. Amplifiers run well at about 50% capacity, so budget plenty of power to allow the amps to run well within spec. Subwoofers provide the needed bass response, and the mains speakers should be able to produce a clear and consistent sound for the duration of the performance. On-stage monitoring should distribute the sound well enough for everyone to hear the needed parts, especially vocals. Typically budget one monitor for each band member. Equalization must be capable of boosting desired frequencies and eliminating problem ones. Microphones are to be professional quality, such as Shure SM58 for vocals and SM57 for instruments. Depending on how many microphones are used, a 16-24 channel sound board is generally enough.

Member Requirements

  • Lead Vocals: vocal microphone, on-stage monitor
  • Lead Guitar: amplifier mic, on-stage monitor, A/C power
  • Rhythm Guitar: vocal mic, amplifier mic, on-stage monitor, A/C power
  • Bass Guitar: vocal mic, DI box, on-stage monitor, A/C power
  • Drums: kick mic, snare mic, overhead mic, (tom mics if needed), on-stage monitor

Lighting

The band should be well lit, with the audience able to see each player clearly. The scope of lighting varies greatly from gig to gig, and provides necessary ambience and visual mood to the performance.

Travel

Travel costs are calculated on a per-gig basis. Basically, the farther you are from Vancouver the more it will be. Also factor in whether we need to rent vehicles to transport sound and lighting equipment. Overnight gigs will require lodging and food.
